Mining pools going offline and having issues is just a way of life when mining Ravencoin. To maximize your uptime and resulting profits you need to have some type of failover setup. If the mining pool goes down your miner automatically switches to another pool.

AAile#9399 on the official Ravencoin Discord shared a handy failover script and I wanted to share it here so more people could benefit from this.

Thanks Aaile!

Ravencoin Miner Failover

The script consists of two files you can create them and copy paste the scripts lines or download them.

Create ravenfailover.conf and add this:

{

"_note": "Ravencoin failover config",

"pools":[{
"name": "miningpanda.site",
"url": "stratum+tcp://miningpanda.site:3636",
"user": "RMSFGSMwc4KWvLgF2C1ABt4vAgDEwzt8em",
"pass": "c=rvn,pcm2",
"retries": 5
},
{
"name": "rvnpool.com",
"url": "stratum+tcp://rvnpool.com:3333",
"user": "RMSFGSMwc4KWvLgF2C1ABt4vAgDEwzt8em",
"pass": "c=rvn,pcm2",
"retries": 5
},
{
"name": "cryptopool.party",
"url": "stratum+tcp://cryptopool.party:3636",
"user": "RMSFGSMwc4KWvLgF2C1ABt4vAgDEwzt8em",
"pass": "c=rvn,pcm2",
"retries": 5
},
{
"name": "threeeyed.info",
"url": "stratum+tcp://stratum.threeeyed.info:3333",
"user": "RMSFGSMwc4KWvLgF2C1ABt4vAgDEwzt8em",
"pass": "c=rvn,pcm2",
"retries": 5
}],
"algo" : "x16r",
"quiet" : false,
"debug" : false
}

Substitute wallet for yours as well as “pass” (pcm2) with what you want you workername to be. You can add or remove pools as you like.¬†

Create AAILE-RVN-FAILOVER.bat:

:start
ccminer-x64 -c ravenfailover.conf
timeout 30
goto start

That’s it! Super simple and easy way to make sure you don’t suffer any downtime from a mining pool going down.
